We are delighted to have Marie Reilly – Lismore Clinic – Msc, MNIMH, DipCoun, EFR, speaking at our Betonica Herbalist CPD weekend on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th October 2019. The event will be held at The Blackdown Healthy Living Centre, Hemyock, EX15 3SH.
INFERTILITY (Saturday 19th October)
According to recent statistics, 15% to 20% of couples have difficulty conceiving, and in up to 30% of these cases, the cause of infertility remains unexplained. However, by incorporating traditional approaches to diagnosis and treatment, it is often possible to find reasons for infertility and to help couples to conceive.
Marie’s talk will highlight various problems which may contribute to infertility and various strategies that may be used to improve the chances of conception.
INTERPRETING BLOOD TEST RESULTS (Sunday 20th October)
This CPD seminar will cover the most commonly used tests to determine pathological abnormalities in the following areas: Haematology, Metabolism, Immunology, and Endocrinology.
Laboratory tests will be discussed with reference to clinical evaluation, to form an integrated and holistic approach to analysis and interpretation.
Detailed lecture notes will be provided to refer to throughout the seminar and to use as a reference guide at home.
On successful completion of this CPD seminar, practitioners will be able to:
- Critically analyze and interpret a variety of clinical laboratory test results for their patients.
- Critically evaluate abnormal, borderline and inconsistent test results in order to identify abnormalities.
- Combine the results from orthodox laboratory tests and clinical evaluation to form an integrated and holistic approach to analysis and interpretation.
- Integrate laboratory test results with history taking and clinical examinations, in order to formulate a diagnosis and determine the most appropriate approach to treatment.
