It’s always great to see so many people interested in herbal medicine, and particularly interested in becoming medical herbalists.
We had a record number of applications from people across the UK, and it was great to meet many of them at our interview day.
We had two interview sessions which included a presentation about Betonica and what we stand for, as well as a chance to ask any questions before the start of the informal interviews.
We also had a little herb ID quiz to get the herbal juices flowing while applicants were waiting.
It was great to get some ideas about how we could improve the course, including the suggestion of a buddy studying system which we are going to implement in the upcoming classes.
We hold informal interviews so that we can find out more about each applicant and whether the course is right for them, but it’s also more about the applicant and them asking us what we, as a professional training course, can do for them.
Course materials and equipment were also on show so that everyone could get an idea of how much work and dedication is involved in training to become a medical herbalist.
Both of our classes are now full, but we do hold a reserve list just in case a place becomes available. Please get in touch if you’d like to be added to it.
